My Desire

 This is one of the first songs I ever wrote. It is a very short chorus, written for my church in the late 80s. I dug it out, blew off the dust, and polished it up a bit.  It is reminiscent of Micah 6:8 where, in an era where law reigned supreme, and people had a lot of lists to remember, God still boiled it down to this: Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with God.

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
